# Invite a Support teammate

> An admin invites a teammate with the Support role.

A Team Administrator sends the invitation from **Team Members** and ticks **Invite as Support**. The teammate can then look up recipients, read events and analytics, and remove a suppression, without being able to change your sending setup.

## Before you start

- You are a Team Administrator.
- Your team has fewer than three invitations waiting to be accepted. That is the limit.

## Send the invitation

1. Open the team menu, where your team's name is shown, and choose **Team Members**.
2. Click **Invite a New Team Member**.
3. Enter the teammate's email address, and their name if you like.
4. Tick **Invite as Support**. Leave **Invite as Team Administrator** unticked.
5. Click **Create Invitation**.

The teammate gets an email. Once they accept, they can open **Events**, **Suppressions**, and recipient lookup on your team.

If you leave both boxes unticked, they join as a Viewer. A Viewer can read everything a Support teammate can but cannot remove a suppression.

## Change a role later

A Team Administrator opens **Team Members**, selects the person, and changes the role. Support teammates cannot change roles, including their own.

## What Support cannot do

A Support teammate cannot issue SMTP credentials, add domains, create API keys, or change who is on the team. When a customer needs one of those, ask a Team Administrator.
