PostShiba is built and run by Bento.

Email infrastructure for apps and SaaS platforms, from the team that already runs Bento's mail.

What PostShiba is.

An email API for product mail, customer sending, and inbound mail.

PostShiba is an email API. An app sends receipts, password resets, and other transactional mail over HTTP or SMTP. A SaaS platform sends on behalf of its customers, with a verified domain and a tenant for each customer. Inboxes receive mail and can notify your app with signed webhooks.

Anyone can sign up self-serve. Once your first cluster and domain are ready, you can send to your own team's addresses. External recipients need production approval, which we review by hand and is usually quick. Opt-in newsletters and campaigns are welcome on a marketing cluster. Cold email and outreach are not. The full rules are on Use cases.

Who it is for.

Developers shipping product email, and platforms that send as their customers.

Use PostShiba when your product needs to send mail as itself, or when each of your customers needs a sending domain, SMTP credentials, and an inbox under your account. The REST API and the MCP server use the same API key. SMTP uses its own credentials. All three follow the same send rules.

If you are moving from another transactional provider, add PostShiba beside it and shift traffic when delivery looks healthy. The docs cover HTTP, SMTP, domains, tenants, webhooks, and inboxes.
