Introduction

PostShiba is the email API Bento runs on.

PostShiba is the transactional email API that powers Bento. After we approve your account, you create a shared-IP cluster, verify a domain, and send from that domain.

You need an approved account, a verified domain, and either a platform application token or an SMTP credential. Then send transactional mail. These docs also cover clusters, inboxes, webhooks, and tenants.

Start here

  1. Create an API key for REST calls.
  2. Add a domain and publish DKIM plus return-path.
  3. Send with HTTP or SMTP.

We review senders before you can create a cluster or an inbox. New clusters set ip_assignment to shared.

Build something

The setup guides put the APIs together into complete products. Start with the one closest to what you're making.

About

PostShiba is the transactional email platform that powers Bento behind the scenes. You can build your own products, like Bento, on top of it.
